Take-home kits

If you prefer to whiten your teeth gradually in the comfort of your own home, Dr. Blankenship can provide you with an Opalescence take-home kit. It consists of trays that Dr. Blankenship will have made to fit your teeth, several syringes of whitening gel, and a starting shade of your teeth. You can choose your strength of whitening gel according to how sensitive your teeth are. Just wear the trays for a few hours each day. Typically, the process takes ten days to two weeks.

Resistant stains

Some stains do not respond to teeth whitening. Stains that are deep inside the tooth, often caused by medications or trauma, can be difficult or impossible to whiten. Some will respond to intense whitening treatments, but others are better treated with veneers or dental bonding. Dr. Blankenship will discuss this with you.
